This Week at Lake Anne Breaking News First LEGO League Scores Big at Competition On Sunday the Lake Anne Sea Monsters competed in the First Lego League at Eagle Ridge Middle School and placed second in the Robot Design competition and FIRST in the Robot Performance competition (over 33 other teams!) Overall, they came in third in their division and qualified for the VA state tournament at Virginia Tech in 2 weeks! This is a fantastic accomplishment for a rookie team in this competition! In addition to the robot they built, they also did a research project on space elevators and their research can be seen on a pair of posters hanging near the office at school (in both English and Spanish). And this year’s Fiesta will be bigger and better to celebrate Lake Anne’s 40th anniversary. We want fill the yearbook with candid pictures of our Lake Anne students doing all the wonderful things that they do each day. To do so, we need parents, teachers, students, and volunteers--anyone with access to a digital camera--to take pictures and send them to us. Please do not use an email setting when sending these photographs. For us to consider a photograph, you must provide the names and grades of the students pictured.
