This Week at Lake Anne March 5 – March 11The Odyssey of the Mind Northern Virginia Competition is over!! All of our teams did really well!! The 4th and 5th grade team won FIRST PLACE for their solution to the problem "Around the World in 8 Minutes". They will represent Lake Anne at the State Finals in Newport News on April 21st. Our other Lake Anne Teams did really well also. The primary teams, which are not get scored or do not compete against each other in that division, received excellent results from the judges. Their scenery, costumes and script were judged really high. The also did a great job on their spontaneous problem. The 6th Grade team placed 1st in the Spontaneous problem for Division 2. This is really exciting since they are competing against 7th and 8th graders in that higher division. For the Long-term problem, they received high marks for their set design and were praised for the humor in their solution.
